Hairrison Street Fair was a huge success for Lavender Lounge and Muscle Bear Cub. Thanks to Prideworks' Pete King, my company got some of the best promotional exposure ever, and it was all very low-stress and fun.

As part of Bear Week, I was able to sponsor the Mr. Muscle Bear Cub Contest on Friday as an official event of Bear Week, which meant it was listed in all the promotional materials. But the big event was the fair on Sunday, and I was allowed to set up an inflatable "bounce house". Pete gave me special placement because, as he said, "When they walk in, I want it to be the first thing they see, just like Cinderella's castle at Disneyland!"

We weren't charging anything to jump in the Lavender Lounge sponsored pink and purple princess castle, but some guys were a little shy about trying it. Naturally, it was the younger, more physically fit guys that took the plunge and bounced around. There was fear early on that it might get broken by some giant chubby bears, but it was remarkably durable. Only once did we get more than three guys at once, which seems to be the limit. With four or more guys, there was a tendency for it to tip over, but it only takes a few minutes to get completely winded from the physical exertion.

With help from Sister Jane and Postulant Cathy Lick, we recruited plenty of cute guys to let us frisk them for sharp objects, then strip down to underwear (or less!) and bounce around. What a tough job!
